wonder if anyone could shed some light on a problem thats just started on my car

when i'm driving along at say 5-10 mph and stamp on the brakes there is a loud noise (clonk) and you can feel it through the car from the near side rear, when you brake it sounds like something is moving forward and then when you let off the brakes it moves back into position i've checked the boot and nothing lose in there anyone have any ideas so when i take a look at the weekend i have some bullet points to check

cheers steve

48720A - green arrow, 48720A isn't the part number, it's the part name code.

The part number is 48710-14110 .

The stabilizer bar links are the ones with the red arrow.

LH Rear Stabiliser part number is: 48840 -14030

RH Rear Stabiliser part number is: 48830 - 14050

Have you changed your brake pads lately?

I got this low speed clonk when braking after I changed mine. The clip over the pads was fitted upside down which forced the pads backwards and moved forward slightly on braking causing the clonk.

Mine are fine now with the clip fitted fitted correctly, however I still get a clonk when I reverse ;)

Hope you find the root cause.
