AdzC
I've just ordered myself a set of Metal Monkey dials as seem to be highly recommended by people on here. I've gone for them in a black finish with green backing and red km/h for an OEM look as i'm not looking at changing the dash lights or anything. For those who have them can you advise whether I can just fit these over the existing dials and use the existing lights or do I need to change the bulbs or do some kind of LED conversion. Any help appreciated.
Ian W
afaik there's no light changing required. Can't remember if you have to remove the old dials though
AdzC
Thanks Ian. I will more than likely have to remove the cr@p mph speedo face that was stuck on by the dealer when I bought the car but hoping the others will slide on nicely. AlanM
I think you have to remove the old dials - my son did when he did mine anyway, so I presume he had to

AdzC
Is it fairly staright forward. Read some of the posts that came up on search and all sorts have been mentioned spoons, cocktail sticks etc. Then driving along the motorway whilt putting the needles back on. Dazzi
Yup I had some, needles off, take old dials off, place the new dials on, push rev needle on correct tickover once warm, set temp needle in middle, top up fuel to full and set fuel needle on full and lastly find a quiet stretch of road preferably straight. I set mine at 60 with the sat nav and confirmed with a speed gun. Spot on to 1mph
AdzC
Excellent. I've got a Thor DSC+TSD coming too so will have to get that fitted first and then do the dials and get it all calibrated.
