Mike M
I'm starting to think about booking the car in for its stem seal change but wondering what else would be prudent to check or replace while the heads off. I've been thinking along the lines of:- Valve clearances/timing belt / have a check of those hard to get to VAC hoses / Check the tubbies but there must be plenty other stuff too. All suggestions welcome as this is probably the first major work on the engine in the cars life. Before its mentioned, i'm well aware of the rope trick but would rather have stuff like the gaskets refreshed and anyway my garage has already said valves can get bent doing the rope trick and wouldn't consider it. Cheers:) Mike

carl0s
My garage says they will be using air instead of rope. I dread to think what would happen if someone accidentally turned off the compressor or something though
bolarbag
Compressor is the better method
