Respray for £500??

I know this is really pushing it, but is there any chance I could get a decent respray in black on my Supe for £500?

I'd only be interested in getting the external panels painted. I know £1000 would probably get the job done, but I can only hope for £500

But it would look rough with silver/red door shuts etc or whatever your colour currently is. Just save a few ££

I think if you do the prep work then it will very achievable. The Clk is being prepped just now, the painter is taking £400!

"decent" not for that money imo, parts alone would be near that i think? minimum you would get a reasonable job done for would be 1200-1500 i reckon.

Yeah, I'd be happy to pay 1k-1.5k for a good job

Watch it with some companies too when prepping yourself. Turning up prepped and asking them to paint it is exactly what they will do, usually without checking for imperfections.

I got a quote for mine off a good friend and a back to metal job on mine would be about £1200 - £1500 or just a blow over for about £700 - £800.

More or less, you would probably need to supply the thinners as well, but anything else they would include in the price.

How much are thinners mate?

I'm not a poser like many folk on this board, so I'm not too fussed about a little imperfection or two.

Its kind of weird for me to think about spending 500 quid on a cosmetic mod, rather than extracting more power

If you ask around, I'm sure you will find a reasonable body shop that will do a good job for that sort of price, put it this way, i have just resprayed a mates Fiat 600 for a lot less than that, he did do all the prep though;)

If your hesitant, about the paint, ask Supra matt, or anyone who has seen my paintwork in the flesh.

Why not go for the rat pack effect then as been told thats the in thing at the moment

A £500 paint job will LOOK like a £500 paint job IMHO.... (Unless you know the spray and is a friend of something, but a company won't put proper effort into it)
