Guest YuraB
I posted this in the newby section but I doubt I will get any attention there so i am posting here also. I currently own 05 Cadillac CTS 3.6 that is partially modified. I was going to sell my CTS and buy the STS because its nicer, but then I ran into a webpage that sells supra from Japan for a reasonable price. You see, I always wanted a Supra, but here in Victoria BC they are 30,000 + for a 93. Unfortunally on the webpage, most of the Supras already have at least 100,000 km. So my question is: Are supras reliable at this many kms (100k -150k). I know it depends on the previous owner, but how about on average? I am probably asking the wrong people, but still, please try to be unbiased. For example I can honestly tell you that CTS is nothing but a pain in the neck to own. Thank you all - PLEASE BE HONEST. AndyT
Most Supras here of '93 vintage have 160k + km. The engine is well over engineered, so if serviced properly, will just keep going. Main bits I'd want to see kept up to scratch are - suspension, brakes, bodywork including all the seals. Suspension overhaul = £2k Brakes = £1.5k Seals = £1.9k Respay = £3k Inflated UK prices obviously.
Scott
100k? Engine is barely run in Nothing to worry about at 100k. In fact 200k kms is pretty common.
