monsween
Just looking for some general info, Coming up for 50K, service is due at 53K for me and im toying with the idea to change the cambelt in this one. How long do they last? I know anything from 50k-90k depending on the car etc. Anything else to change around this mileage? Cheers
Dave17
I've always got mine changed at 100,000km. I think thats the recommended service life of a cambelt
edd_t
i recently got my cambelt changed at 93k. i think its more for peace of mind. i dont like the thought of a 14 year old cambelt holding everything together. its quite a big job on a TT, as most of the front of the car had to come off, I got a FMIC fitted at the same time
AlexM
I can't remember the exact figures., but it should be changed every 40-50k km or 3-4 years.. whichever comes first.
Nic
See service manual here http://www.turbosupras.com/pages/en/pages/specifications/JZA80/a80tsrm.htm If it/they haven't been changed for awhile I would also fit a new oxygen sensor. If you need a source for any OEM parts drop me a pm.
