Before the forum started there was a MKIV group email thingermy (can't remember the name of the thing), that most of the original members were on.

I remember that, been on here a long time now:blink: Weird how the type of members has changed over the years.

It was me.

10 years ago I helped Andy Stallwood start up supras.co.uk. I ran the events and the mail list. In 2000 I was then permitted by my wife to buy a mkiv. I sort of lost interest in the mkiii and decided to start a new club, http://www.mkivsupra.net . I got a few friends from the mail list to do it with me (Terry S, Rolec, Justin Foden + others). We started small with a forum but it kept building from there. Rolec moved on to spend more time with his family and so it was left to me. I realised I couldnt cope with it all and so started bringing in mods. Members have come and gone but its nice to see some of the old timers still here.

The club has changed and morphed over time. New members have brought new ideas with them and the club has changed to take those on board. I have watched many members change as the club has changed. Some well known members were on my watch list when they first started but now it wouldnt be the same without them.

Happily for me my family life is great, married for 10 years, 2 lovely children and I still managed to keep hold of a Supra. But it takes more and more effort to watch the whole forum which is why the mod team are here and do a great job.

I like attending the big events to see how things have moved on. My name is well known, but most dont know what I look like, and peoples perception of me is quite different to my real personna.

So thats a potted history. Theres many other highs and lows but it still gives me a warm feeling when I see the number of supras at an event, or the amount of club merchandise that gets sold or even the club spirit between members. So a big thanks to all the members who have joined up, and the traders who help fund this place to make it the rich tapestry that is the mkiv Supra Owners Club.

still me...

but its all non-profit. We plough the funds back in to events like Supra Pod, JAE etc. We also take the hit on Paypal fees when dealing with members money for events. The hosting fees are also quite large.

None of the team gets paid for what they do, its all done for the love of the club and the members.
