how much does a remap cost

I'm just looking for a ballpark figure as how much it costs to have a stand alone ecu mapped.

Which ECU and who are you thinking of using?

Very rough ballpark: £300 plus costs.

They're fairly good, but not the best out there. There's plenty better ones available.

AEM is a no-no with an auto anyway.

I what would you suggest for an auto with a single turbo.

Now I know everyones gona jump all over me for using auto and single in the same sentence but I'll run the autobox til it gives up then fit a 6 speed. No point changing it for changing sake.

The auto box does limit your ECU choice, if you plan to go 6 speed then there are loads more ECUs to choose from.

you could use an AEM but with the stock ECU controlling the box. It's a fudge but has been made to work.

Another option might be to wait until Ryan has chance to map an auto on the Solaris ECU, from what he's said it should be capable of controlling one.

Sounds promising

well I'm not in any hurry as I shall soon be starting to build my spare engine back up. But due to engine bits costing quite a few quid it's gona be a slow process as I don't wona buy cheap stuff just so I can get it together . Bit of a project for me I think.
