had my car dynoed at dyno demon on the wirral today and made 342bhp at the wheels, 407 at the fly and about 410 foot pound torque, basically all the curves look pretty good apart from where the turbo changes, which he said is normal. The dyno was at 0.8 bar which is the lower boost setting on the avcr, the chap who carried it out seems to think that with the spec i have, the car is running pretty much near its limit and to run the car on the higher setting (1.15 bar) might be damaging without looking at the internals, and possibly stronger or single turbo's... is this true?? by their own admission they are subaru specialists so i was a bit dubious about what was said

excuse the quality, i dont have a scanner, these are photo's from my phone

basically i'm after some re-assurance that the internals and the turbo's would be ok on the higher boost setting for regular use or just now and again ... who knows

also he said the fuelling may need looking at... not sure if you can see it properly from the graphs

what a joke. No offence like... It's running a fair bit less than stock boost too, so the figures are ridiculous. Did you actually pay for that? You've been over if you did.. it's the normal 'please the customer' result you'd expect from a dodgy dyno operator, we've seen it hundreds of times...

Booted from tech too.

Anyone know a good rolling road round the chester area? Anyone want to hazard a guess at what power i should be aiming for at 1.15 bar?

Back to the tubbies then... At what stage can you safely run j spec tubbies? Either boost wise or wheel horse power?

toyota designed them for 0.8-0.9 many people push them to 1.2 and have had no problems, some have even pushed to 1.4. its always a gamble going more than stock boost

1.2bar, no point going above and you can't really control them much lower as the wastegates are rubbish,

You obviously can go lower with a more restrictive exhaust, or a restrictor ring, or cat e.t.c, 1.2bar and a few choice mods should see you at about the 400bhp (flywheel) region with similar torque

Its not possible, the gates will just leak - fully open
