Whats it for

have just taken my headlights out, so that i can take the front bumper to be resprayed and once i had disconnected all the wires to the lights i noticed a cable that i didnt see before on the drivers side, it comes from down the side of the intercooler but cant realy see where from and its a black cable in a black plastic sleeve and its got a square block end on it that looks like it should plug into somthing... any ideas

will take picture if no one knows what im on about

Maybe, but i have an active spoiler and it all works fine

ah rite..well then no idea. i think mine is on the drivers side of the rad. i dont have an active spoiler either

I was going to say "Active Spoiler" as well but SupraShaun has killed that idea.

Impact sensor for the Airbag, maybe? Do you guys that have this spare connector happen to all have non-air bag model Supras?

Dont think mine has air bag either so that might be what its for, just seemed to appear from nowhere, at first i did think it might be for the active spoiler but i think the air bag idea might be more likely

Lol same as mine, i was looking at the power steering cooler at the time. I have a fmic to fit when i can be bothered to take the front bumper off so i shall see where it leads

The two airbag impact plugs are up in the wing areas, not down by the IC. I was going to say active spoiler plug too as that's the only plug I reme,ber seeing there on either car, but Shaun has ruled that one out.

Is it a TT or NA? How many contact points or wires does it have going to it?

yeah let me know if you figure it out lol, i didnt fit the fmic or the bumper myself, so until taking the lights out i would never have seen it, just could'nt figure it out when this wire was just hanging there:)

I've got the loom manuals on the coffee table in front of me so can take a look if you give an indication of plug type.

just had another look and one wire is brown with white trace and the other is pink with black trace if that helps
