Picking up an active spoiler this coming weekend and want to fit it and wire it up so it goes up and down with a switch.

Dont have the ecu for it so just want to wire it straight up myself to a toggle switch or something.

Anyone any idea how to go about doing this and any links to what i need?

Not very good when it comes to wiring up stuff so the more the detail the better

Cheers

I would say you need to buy a switch like the ones you use for the rear fog light, then you will need to run a wire for the earth to the switch, then run a switched live wire to the switch and then run a wire from the switch to the live of the motor which controls the spoiler, then run a ground wire to the motor. Hopefully this should work.

Dont want to sound thick but :wtfsign:

I've got a spare switch which has 3 connections which was used for the rear fog light

what would those 3 connect to?

Also i think i'm right in saying there is 5 connection points on the spoilers motor plug, would i need to use all of them and what does each one connect to?

Sorry bit useless when it comes to wiring
