hi. Just started earning big money and ive been looking at getting a supra. Ive seen a lovely one on ebay for only £2700 twin turbo but fairly standard. Should I keep my options open and just look for now. Id really like a aerotop version.

What's your price range and what do you want ultimately? NA/TT? Aerotop (roof panel comes out) or happier with the more rigid solid roof? Manual/Auto? Not bothered?

Im was looking at about 3k but ive noticed you dont get too much for your money. I would prefer an aerotop as i would like to replicate the fast and the furious model but I know thats prob not likely to happen. Im not a millionare! But a supra is a supra and I really want one asap. What do u think of that one on ebay? I dont mind if its auto or manual. Is there really a reason to go for one over the other? My friend has got a hyundi coupe and its really bugging me how he thinks hes the bolloks and ive been telling him for about 4 months that im getting a supra and hes got no respect. He said he will race for logbooks as hes really just a nob!!

Auto/Manual if you're not bothered then get an auto as they are slightly cheaper and you'll have WAY more choice. I'm not sure if your budget will stretch to an aerotop, it probably will if you are patient. Start by looking at the classifieds here on the forum, it's where you should find the best cared for cars.

Oh yeah and download the buyers guide (FAQ section) for when you do go viewing, and feel free to ask if anyone on here wouldn't mind going along with you, most people are pretty friendly

cheers for that. I always thought supras were out of my price range. Believe it or not I nearly brought a mk4 escort cabbie for 2.5k. It was good but ive had far too many escorts to count in my youth. My missus hates the dash and the bumpers as she says they look like the old rover vitesse!!

I would only prob pay under the 2k mark as the resale abilty wud b quite bad. Im looking to work my way up the supra scene but your motor cud be a good start if its still for sale?!!

He wouldnt race u as he's only bothered about me. Long story short he raced me back in the day when I had an rsturbo and he had a r5gtt and won. Its been a long time coming as I have a renault grand scenic for the family and hes a single bloke. The missus finally buckled and said do what u want so I am!!

Sorry for the confusion. It's not actually my motor.. I just spotted it the other day and thought it was cheap.
