by standalone unit do you mean another ecu ? .and what would be the gains ??

 

On a standard NA, the gains are thought to be minimal to be honest. I'd have to agree with that looking at the dyno print out mine ran a few months back, the figures were spot on all the way through. There might be a little in it playing with the timing, however it would end up costing a small fortune for a small gain.

 

AEM do a plug and play option for the NA, however pretty much any standalone would go in easily.
