Guest wallicechick
I have a sony head unit that someone has given to me to fit to the supra, but i have no idea where to start so im getting someone to do it for me. They say i need a lead of some sort and a facia adapter but its coming in at over £45. They origionally said that it was £20 for the adapter and £10 for the lead, then on second thoughts they say its £25 for the lead! But i think thats too much. Wanted abit of a second opinion on fitting really becuase im not able to fit the thing myself and i dont know what extras i need either, but i think the people i phoned were having me on. Can anyone help?
RobSheffield
IIRC the adaptor from Halfords is about £9.99, fascia isnt usually needed unless you REALLY want to. EDIT - The cable is a PC2-17-
Chrisbeast
I got a wiring harness adapter for my Sony head unit the other day (PC2-17-4) cost me £13.99 from Halfords. Dont know about facia adapter, the rectangular peice that clips around the front of head unit maybe? Mine wouldnt fit properly so just left it off, still looks ok without it! juanchan
The harness from Halfords is £29.99. Or at least that's what they quoted me. They also tried telling me I needed the facia, but I've not tried fitting my headunit so no idea if it's actually required.
