bobapple
Hello gents hope we are all well, had a strange one last night, took my motor out after not driving her for a few days, started fine and warmed up no problem, got to a sixty zone gave it some (up to 60 only) then dropped out of gear to coast to the next set of lights revs drop and it cuts out. Happened 3 times then was fine? Also noticed my first tubby wasn't getting up to full boost until about 3000 revs and when the first tubby reaches full boost with foot down I get a weird fluttering noise in the turbos whistle which goes when number 2 comes online?. gordy07
Not a best idea to coast mate slow down through the gears
bobapple
Not to sound cheeky or rude but why whats up with coasting, generally I do use the gears to slow down but sometimes do coast a bit, surely it wont damage anything will it? simbasupra
think its due to car control mate (correct me if im wrong:)) you are supposed to be in less control when coasting.
MaveriK
Yes, but coasting should not cause the car to stall. I would stick my head under the bonnet and make sure all pipes leads are connected properly first.
supra_surj
I had a similar thing happen. Driving one day and it decides to start cutting out and stalled. Mine turned out to be battery terminal loose.
bobapple
Right cheers fellas, gonna change my top rad pipe today has very small leak, so will check for any other pipes off. Supra surj cheers mate but I deffo tightened the battery terminals up last week?? Its weird drove the car yesterday no stall. It wouldn't be the coil packs would it, or would that just make it run like a bag of poop on idle sometimes I get a slight dip in the revs but it didn't conk out?
