remving headrests

You need to open up the seat back to get access to the clips to release them. It's a bit tricky, but I can repost those pics you can't access on supraforums (presume that is the link you refer to - you need to be a member there to view them)

This photo was posted by a member quite some time back ,but it did not work for me.

Worked for me. The headrests come off exactly the same way as most headrests do. There is a button on either side that releases that side of the headrest. The only difference is that Toyota, in their infinite wisdom, decided to put the buttons inside the back of the seat.

Once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy just takes a bit of fiddling around to find the buttons.

:yeahthat:

You have to press pretty hard on the leather to reach the buttons in there too, but when you manage it, the headrests just slide off - you'll know straight away as they come off with no effort at all.

Hi I have just done this and had to use the handle end of a hammer to push hard enough.

Also the place you need to push is pretty much under the plastic clip, so you will need to push down slightly and don't forget to lift the headrest at the same time.

You need to do the same on the otherside, so twice on each seat.;)

In the picture the headrest and clip have already lifted slightly making it look like you need to go slightly lower down.

Now have I got the gutts to take the cover's off and put them through the washing machine to dye them:blink:

Will they end up like all the jumper's and t-shirt's I buy that the missus doesn't like:rolleyes:(shrunk)
