How the hell is this done. I tried turning it both ways, both are really stiff and it just seems to turn and not actually uscrew. To my amazement also, there seems to be no posts on here with other people having the same problem so i guess im just being blonde;)

i have a standard manual one, but its looking a little tired. I would like a new black leather one and possible a new handbrake cover in leather too like the rickbrook ones but they only seem to do euro cars.

anyone help with either problems?

thanks

so should i be turning it clockwise or anticlockwise as it seems to turn both ways just as easy??

If it's a stock one it should just unscrew by turning anticlockwise. The thread is quite fine so it'll take quite a few turns to remove. If it's not coming off then the thread might be b*ggered, try pulling it upwards at the same time as turning.

Exactly, just use a bit of 'gentle' force...:D

Be respectfull please gents, lets not try to alienate all ladies from the forum eh? The question raised was fair so lets try and help out a fellow owner :)

I was, its just the way it was interpreted lol...:)

As you know, these gearknobs are 'tempremental' and do require force to get them off sometimes...
