chilli Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 Hi, Currently I've got a Veilside Spoiler on the car, just got a standard spoiler and was going to swap it over for a change. Just wondering about fitments. The standard spoiler hasn't come with any screws / gaskets etc... Now, I'm hoping (praying) that holes are in the same place!!! They certainly "seem" to locate on the boot in similar places. Will the bolts / screws be the same and I can reuse them once the veilside is off the car? Looks like 2 bolts per side from what I can see. I should get new gaskets from Mr T (presume there are gaskets) and possibly the bolts too if they are different sizes/lengths? liam1 Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 i swapped my veilside for oem didnt take long at all, the holes are in the same place i used the original gaskets and bolts although i did buy some spare bolts from mr t but didnt need them, there was a few dirty marks from the old spoiler but a bit of 3g and polish got them out. I'll take the opportunity to polish up the bits that are hard to reach on the boot before fitting the new one. I take it that you get to the screws by taking the trim off inside the boot lid? It's an easy job an shouldn't take more than 20 mins. As mentioned you'll probably need to polish/cut the marks left where the VS sat before fitting the new wing.
