Guest iangibson57
I have 2 supra's one is a none turbo auto and the other is a twin turbo auto. I wrote off the twin turbo but looking at buying it back from the insurance company. The engine isn't damaged at all. So my question is can i do a straite swap take the twin turbo engine out and put it into the none turbo. Is this an easy task to do for a garage? and how much would it cost. Also if i didn't do this and just decided to sell the engine it's self what sort of price would i get for it. Any help would be great. Thanks Ian Gibson
JustGav
If you have both cars next to each other it is definitely easier as you can dismantle and reassemble straight away. It is a fairly complex task, however if you have access to certain basic garage tools you should be okay if you are mechanically savvy.
