Lukeyboy2k
I remember that template - about as much use as a chocloate tea pot to me! From memory I think there are actually two templates on the site, both of which are different sizes. So long as you drill the holes from the underneath in the recommended locations (it's really obvious if you look at it) you can't really go wrong. If you're only fitting for cosmetic purposes (i.e. not using the ducting) I think you could get away without cutting the big hole. If you are using the ducting, then you shoud be able to judge the size of the big hole by testing it before fitting. The scoop easily covers the size of the hole and so it really is quite difficult to mess up.
jim_supra
I had the same problem. In the end what I did was drill the holes in the bonnet and place masking tape where the vent was going to sit. I then placed the vent on the bonnet and drew around it on the masking tape, then I drew another line about an inch in from that and cut the hole from that.
