View Full Version : Toyota Multichanger
Hi all
If you fit a Toyota multichanger to a stock UK head unit, where is it controlled from? If it is the head unit, how do you switch from tape/radio to the multichanger? Thanks for any help. :)

Mine runs from the unit under the tape player, it has a button on it (name eludes me right now) and pressing this turns the tape / radio off and the CD control unit comes on. It also has all the relevant buttons for swapping between disks etc. To get back to tape / radio I think you press the 'LMU' button on the main unit but to be honest I haven't done this yet as I only listen to CDs.
ohh you guys must have the same thingy as meh :innocent:
errrm well i tried to figure mine out... but it says ERROR :S does that mean its mashed.
errrm how does the cd changer work? is it a removable magazine or sumthing? because it doesnt mention how to operate it in the user manual.
regards
You should have an autochanger in the boot, peel back the carpet and have a look at the passenger side rear corner, it's in a hole there :)
I think mine does "ERROR" if I put a CD in upside down or don't have any CDs in.
ohh... thanx, 1 thing. how do i put the cds in? :conf:

On the multichanger there is an 'eject' button. Press this and the cd holder will come out. Fill it up with choons....off you go :)

Most of the aftermarket ones have a reset button that sort this out. Try looking for one, it may reset the CD changer or something. Either that or sit back and wait for Mr (Trying to be not so) Nice comes along.

Sorry, couldn't tell you anything about the UK changer... I've only ever removed them. - Sounds knackered though :(
As for you Ben... I'm plotting my revenge...
