Right, I've decided to take the plunge and am starting to buy all the parts required for my small single conversion. I've listed the parts that I already have (collected over the last few years), and will list what I'm planning to buy below. As usual, advice would be great.

Solaris S6GP ECU

Power Enterprise 650cc Injectors

Bosch Fuel pump

AEM Water injection

SSQV BOV & weld on flange

Defi EGT gauge & link II controller

HKS Valcon plus intake cam & controller (VVTI)

Blitz LM Front Mounted Intercooler with hardpipes

New O2 sensor

Innovate Wideband O2 sensor (LM1) and gauge (XD16)

RSR EXMag GTII Exhaust

Driftworks Oil Cooler

6 speed conversion

Solaris Boost solenoid

Solaris 3bar Map sensor

Anti Surge housing for GT35R

Southbend Clutch and new flywheel

Turbo Blanket from Kyle

TRD gearbox mounts

Whifbitz catch tank

Unorthodox Racing pulleys

Brembo front brakes

UK Rear Calipers

DBA 4000 disks all round and braided Goodrich hoses

Bilstein Shocks & Eibach lowering springs

NGK Plugs

New Cambelt, Radiator Cap & Thermostat

Interesting build, you're missing leather seats though ;)

Whats the maximum power the tiptronic box can cope with?

haha :) Shameless hint!

The box is the same as the auto box if you believe the serial number, so I reckon up to 500bhp'ish. I'll go 6-speed eventually but for now it'll have to do.

Fuel upgrade - undecided

Either:

From Nic

HKS 680cc Injectors

HKS Fuel Rail Kit

Fuel Lines made up the same as his

Aeromotive FPR (sourced seperately)

New fuel pump (undecided as to what to get as I'd like one that's not too noisy)

OR

PHR stage 1 Fuel kit

PHR 17.5mm (-10AN) ID high-flow fuel rail

Twin Walbro GSS341 in-tank fuel pumps

Aeromotive EFI fuel pressure regulator with liquid-filled fuel pressure gauge

Fully assembled and pressure tested -6AN Stainless Steel braided fuel lines

hi-flow fuel filter

Siemens 720cc fuel injectors

PHR quick release injector clips and all hardware necessary for a complete install including a sheet of a space-age polymer used to wrap the fuel pumps to prevent magnetic interference.

OR

Titan Motorsports Fuel Kit

Titan Fuel Rail

720cc Injectors

Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator

Braided lines with Aeroquip fittings

Additional Supra Pump (couple with existing pump)

Twin in-tank fuel pump kit

All connectors, pre-cut wiring, instructions, Relay etc.

Or..... Just

Set of PE 650cc injectors - cleaned and flow tested

Walbro fuel pump

For the power you want dont waste money on aftermarket rails, FPR and lines which are just not as reliable as the stock toyota, denso and bosch parts.

:)

Would I need to do the 12V fuel pump mod as well?

Not if you are running a standalone.

The 12v mod is generally considered bad as the pump would continue to run in the event of an accident if there power still going to it

Unless you have future plans for a bigger turbo (in the next years), I agree on the fact that you should not waste your money on a complete fuelling kit. Just use drop-in injectors and eventually upgrade the pump.

You'd definitely need to upgrade the pump on a J-spec, a single Walbro 255Lhr (GSS342) pump would be sufficient.

Cheers Wez... my name has been added.

While I'm here... Will PE 800 injectors be too big for this project?

If you have a resonable replacement ECU controlling them 800cc should be fine, also leaves head room to expand later if you want.

The PE 650cc injectors would be adequate, I run HKS 680cc injectors at low 80% duration. You could fit 800cc ones if you perhaps wanted to fit a bigger turbo later.

I just noticed some for sale which was why I was asking..... ;) Is there any downside? I seem to recall something about idling being affected by larger ones.

Only really affects certain ECU and injector combos.

I have seen perfectly fine idles on 1000cc injectors when setup properly.

What ECU are you planning on using?

The advantage of the PEs is they negate the need for a resistor pack or peak and hold driver.

Not if it is wired correctly. Use the signal wire from the ECU to control the relay then the pump would run like stock but 12v. ;)

Ahh I see.

When using aftermarket ECUs like the AEM they run constant 12v anyway.

Not sure of the ECU yet. Still undecided as I don't have enough info on the subject. I've searched like mad and have so many conflicting ideas. My issue is the VVTI/auto combo, mixed in with the lack of HKS tuners and new products coming onto the market (RyanG knows of a new ECU that he'll let me know about). The new ProEfi looks awesome but I have yet to find a wealth of info on it.

VVTI/auto :(

Bit of a nightmare as you have to control the VVTI, drive by wire and the autobox.

The AEM can control the VVTI and auto but not sure about DBW.

I would go with what ever Ryan suggests :D
