WTF Is this hose? *Urgent* Please help

Just looking for some quick info guys. I was about to fit a MBC and had a look around to make sure everything looked ok when i came across this. No idea if its meant to be plumbed into anything as it kinda looks like a breather or an overflow or something.

Any ideas??

It looks about the same diameter as the expansion drain bottle... but there aren't any pipes around where that is that should vent to atmosphere...

I'm guessing you can't see where the other end is?

It's the drain hose for the water pump, if the front seal on the pump fails it's supposed to stop it dribbling into your mega expensive alternator. As the whole thing looks like it's been in the Atlantic for years I wouldn't worry about it ;) If you are still bugged, just find the nipple under the pump and push it back on. Some none genuine pumps don't have the nipple.

Phew thanks guys, well fitted the MBC and the damn thing doesn't work.

Thought i had bought a decent one too (until i can afford a proper controller) as it was the spring and ball type.

Thats for another post though.

Did you cap the pipes off the VSV? I tried an MBC and found that without this it would spike all over the place. I found a Bleed Valve much more stable (only used once to raise boost on hot day at Santa Pod last year)
