I think theres a thread on here somewhere with this discussion in. I asked whether a trickle charger was the same as a conditioning charger and it went in to a discussion from there.

quite a lot of members use them, me included, and they work very well indeed.

well worth it.

I have a Ring 8 amp conditioner charger that automatically sorts your battery out. It gives it a conditioning cycle (de-sulfation) if it detects that its flagging a bit, keeps it charged up all the time and can also be used remotely to check battery charge state (just clip it onto a battery and press a button to get the % charge).

Was £50 at tesco

  • 3 weeks later...

bit of help , havnt wired it in yet but connected it up with the croc clips yesterday about 11am , yellow test light is on , but over 24 hours later its still on , i thought it might of changed to green after about 12 hours , i know the battery was down , so is it just a matter of leaving it on , and if it does eventually go to green do i still leave it on ???

thanks peter
