Branners
I think theres a thread on here somewhere with this discussion in. I asked whether a trickle charger was the same as a conditioning charger and it went in to a discussion from there. quite a lot of members use them, me included, and they work very well indeed. well worth it. SUPRALOOPY
Acumate chargers are good, they come on and off when needed and shut down if they detect a problem. they are about £50 IRC
Kranz
I have a Ring 8 amp conditioner charger that automatically sorts your battery out. It gives it a conditioning cycle (de-sulfation) if it detects that its flagging a bit, keeps it charged up all the time and can also be used remotely to check battery charge state (just clip it onto a battery and press a button to get the % charge). Was £50 at tesco

peter richards
ive got the answer to my question , the battery has to be charged first before the trickle charger is fitted, my mistake i thought it would charge it up
