Dudes Fuel pump ECU wiring, help needed!

This is the fuel pump ECU in Dudes car, there seems to be a relay added, and an on/off switch mounted in the boot panel.

Any ideas what this is doing? Some sort of 12v mod?

Also, the ECU on this car is completely different to the one I got from the NA, is that normal?

I am sure this is a mod that Mark had talked about fitting to mine, he mentioned the pumps running all the time with the ignition in the on position in my car when he got it, so he fitted something (I am sure he said a relay) to prevent this happening if the car was involved in an accident?
