Ive used the search button but i still have a few questions.

1. Is there much weight saving changing the standard door cards to carbon fibre ones?

2. Im removing the all the air con componants. Is there any other mechanical part (Mines an NA) that could be removed?

3. Is there such thing as lightweight speakers? Im not into subs or anything just a front door set.

4. Ive seen some little carbon wing mirrors. Is there much weight to be saved putting these on and removing all the electric mirror gunk?

Thanks

The aluminium OEM bonnet is not that heavy (approx 25 pounds), but a carbon one will be definately lighter.

No true. Trouble is most aren't just carbon fibre, they are carbon on top of fibreglass and weigh more than the standard bonnet. Varis do a pure CF one I believe.

What is your motivation for weight reduction, sounds to me like there is little point if you are keeping speakers and the like in place though.

I just want to strip the car down as much as possible. The only luxurys will be the stereo and two speakers.
