Now that BluRay is the high definition winner, I see that a load of old films are being re-released on BR, but is it worth it ? Obviously these old films weren't recorded in high definition so I would imagine these new released are just upscaled, albeit professionally.
So my question is, will I notice much difference between a studio released upscaled BR movie and a SD movie played on my BR player, which upscales.
I mean they are releasing The Life of Brian on BluRay ! Now this quite obviously wasn't recorded on any high definition media, so can only be upscaled for the official BluRay release. Is it worth buying ? Or would I not notice the difference between this and the upscaling done on the old SD disc on my BR player ?
If you know what I mean :D
