Removing turbos - worst job ever??

Nearly done removing my old turbos. After 14 years of being on they are not too happy about coming off. I think this is the worst job to date that I have done on a car....still got hybrids to play with once done so not all that bad. Started raining so came in - any tips for undoing the bolts that attach T2 to the manifold (2 off underneath)?

I used this thread that was done by Tony when i stripped mine off, very useful :)

Yeah found that mate, have been following it too - wireless internet can be useful for some things....quite good having the laptop and live instructions on the go!

I was just writing really to see if there is a worse job than this? How about the valve stem seals???? If they are not as bad I may have a go at them too?

I ended up cutting the end off a ring spanner and attaching it to 3 foot of extension bars to get the final lower nut off. It's always a nightmare!

This is the most frustrating (and painful!) job on a supra IMO. Heater Matrix has to be a close 2nd :Pling:

Well done on that job. Sounds horrible.

The garage (which wasn't a Supra specialist) I used did say it was one of the worst jobs they'd ever done! Fourteen years of heat and isolation did virtually weld it all together!

They quoted me 10 hours to swap the old ones for the 'new' ones, but it actually took them about 16 hours in total. They did only charge me for the 10 hours though, which I thought was good of them. :)
