Is this MPG right?

I have been driving like Miss Daisy for the past week or so to see what MPG i get. I have got 130 miles to the lower half of the tank, Approx £40. Does this sound right? Its short ish runs (2 miles a time) and up a bloody big hill, also I have a few engine mods. Surely thats rubbish?

sounds about right to me mate.

i work that out as around 18mpg...so yeah sounds about right for short granny runs...no matter how slow you drive round town if its only ever short runs its probably when the supra's mpg is at its worse, although i managed 11.5 mpg last weekend, but that was just pure foot to the floor and worth every penny

I normally get 320ish miles to a full tanks, so sounds about right.

Bloody hell its p**s poor.

I used to get about 180 on a full tank as its used for short journeys and spirited runs hehe

I tend to drive like Miss Daisy around town too, and I go through half a tank in a week, which equates to less than 100miles.

Then if I go on a spirited drive out of town somewhere I get great MPG, so my advice is to get a bicycle!

I don't know about you but, with the price of petrol now, I don't try to get the tank completely full at the pump any more - the first time the trigger shuts off, that's it, I hang up (after taking particular care to make sure there's no drops left in the nozzle) and pay!

I got 366 miles on a tank 2 weeks ago( warning light still not on), was very surprised to be honest.

Driving generally gently, around 65 on the motorway, except the blast in convoy down to SW motor show:eyebrows:

I hate pricey fuel, its boring;)

I only fill my tank half way up from the bottom, Its an N/a and i cant afford to add any more weight than whats needed

I expected more tbh, I had a 2.8 autospastic Granada "In the day" and i'm sure that did more

Sounds right. I get 250 miles to a tank driving to my work and back. If i take it on the motorway and drive normally i get around 300-350 (depending on right foot).

When was the oxygen sensor last renewed? This has a big effect on mpg's.

With the high price of fuel now, perhaps it's time for another O2 sensor group buy.

wow, maybe i need to drive a little slower, I put in a full tank of super unleaded thursday night costing 81 pounds, and i run out tonight and iv only done 186 miles.

My car is decated, i have the feeling its drinking too much?

£50 of V-Power at 123p a litre does me just over 200 miles , which equals 21 mpg

I dont know what i get but its not usually good.

£20 lasts no time.

The best i got was when i picked the car up in derby,filled the tank and drove home to glasgow.Bout 220mls i think and i still had 1/4 tank!

350-380 to a tank when driving conservatively.

200 when flooring it

I get over 320 out of a J-Spec tank of V-Power easy, each and everytime!

(Except at The Nurburgring of course)

I think the uk spec manual says 30 plus odd for rural driving at 56mph, but i think that's optimistic unless you drive on cruise and don't touch the pedal!
