how big is the T70

How big is the T70 turbo, what kind of stats are related to it etc, bhp, spooling, so on and so on.

Is it a decent turbo..... bear in mind i am only wanting 500bhp to 550.

There are far better turbo choices available to achieve that kind of power, my personal choice would be/is a Garrett GT35R.

for 550 BHP I would consider the T61 or GT35, very quick spool on these

Sorry I was thinking it could be an XS Power T70, which have a very poor reputation on here.

Is it one you have seen advertised? Does the advert list the full spec?

If I were you I would buy a branded name turbo kit (BL,powerhouse ,HKS etc.)

Otherwise it will probably cost you as much in the long run!

COMPRESSOR WHEEL SUPER 70 60.5mm - there is your answer. T61 = 61mm compressor, so it's a might smaller. It's also a piss poor design on the turbine side and completely unbalanced/unsuitable. Lots of lag, naff all power.

Get a street kit from a KNOWN and REPUTABLE source if you want to fit a single. Going for an eBay special isn't a good option.

Try to get the smallest turbo possible that will give you the bhp figure you have in mind ... that avoids too much lag.

As already said, try go for PHR street kit, PHR stage 1 or BL ... quality is unmatched.
