Nic
Is it a decent turbo..... bear in mind i am only wanting 500bhp to 550. Is this an ebay special? There are far better turbo choices available to achieve that kind of power, my personal choice would be/is a Garrett GT35R.
tooquicktostop
for 550 BHP I would consider the T61 or GT35, very quick spool on these edit .... too slow !
123tom123tom
it isnt a ebay special no, but the question still stands is it capable of those figures, also when you say slow is this 4000rpm slow
tooquicktostop
I said I was too slow because NIC had posted the GT35R before I did

Is it one you have seen advertised? Does the advert list the full spec?
123tom123tom
SHAFT & WHEEL TRIM 64.54, COMPRESSOR WHEEL SUPER 70 60.5mm, TURBINE HOUSING A/R .84, COMPRESSOR HOUSING A/R RATIO .70 this is a put me on until i upgrade the turbo, but just wanted to know what kind of power it will produce, but like i say just a put me on as it came as part of a kit, i looked at the t61 long term
Steve
Which kit did you purchase? Any pictures of it?

Alex
COMPRESSOR WHEEL SUPER 70 60.5mm - there is your answer. T61 = 61mm compressor, so it's a might smaller. It's also a piss poor design on the turbine side and completely unbalanced/unsuitable. Lots of lag, naff all power. Get a street kit from a KNOWN and REPUTABLE source if you want to fit a single. Going for an eBay special isn't a good option.
Luxluc
Try to get the smallest turbo possible that will give you the bhp figure you have in mind ... that avoids too much lag. As already said, try go for PHR street kit, PHR stage 1 or BL ... quality is unmatched.
