tbourner
What's wrong with it? Why would it need soldering are you adding something? Have I missed an important thread?
_Shane_
This stopped working, stopped lighting up. Lads on here said its a common fault etc Said the bit inside just needs resoldering and its good as new my one is uk spec - has traction control and diff oil lights on it, the new one i got was a j-spec one which doesnt have trac light or diff oil light (i bought the wrong one basically)
Scott
Possibly a dry solder joint? If so you should be able to check with a multimeter or even by feel.
Kev.O
At a guess I would say it would be one of the joints that lead to the white wire.
RobSheffield
Look at all the pins on the back, if you see a tiny circle in the solder its likely its 'dry' That is assuming a UK spec one will work on Jspec without issue.
TurboBrett
i did mine last night, i think mine was loose on 3 of the wires i just went over every joint one by one, the cluster now works like a charm found a couple of unused bulbs in it as well, they are now elsewhere in the dash:D

I think Shane is going to put this one back into his UK car as the J-spec one he bought was wrong
