:)Finished my rear indicator conversion at last:)

Followed this

http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35632&highlight=rear+cluster+conversion

but did find that I had to leave them in the oven a lot longer than it said, but I eventually found that turning the oven upto 150 degrees and leaving for 15-20 mins seemed about right.

I also wraped mine in a towel to stop any of the plastic coming into direct contact with the oven ( missus would of killed me if it had melted over the oven:twak:

Anyway very happy with the outcome, no orange bits front or back now;)

and I have added the horny Toyota badge as well:d

Thanks to Keron for sorting the Lens etc for me, many thanks mate:d

If the member who sold me the damage back light at Japfest reads this, sorry, but I thought you had brought it down from Keron's place.

Say hello here as I spoke to so many people about getting broken back light clusters that I don't know who you were, really sorry:blink:

That looks ace. Nice symmetry AND you're rid of the orange blight. How much were the parts you used?

I managed to get 2 broken rear lights, which cost me £5 for 1 and I had a broken bolt clip thing on my passenger light so got 1 off Keron plus the other broken 1 for £28 including postage, but when I separated them I kept my own perspex covers as they were in really good condition.

So...............

£32 for light lenses and passenger light

£5.40 clear sealant ( Homebase )

£9.99 Silvertec chrome bulbs ( Halfords )

£7.49 Sanding drill bit

and about 4 hours of my time and a fair bit of gas:rolleyes:

Total of £54.88

I am now thinking about doing the red ones clear as well;) like zap's car below

but this will cost alot more to do:(
