Anyone know someone decent who can map this for me near lancashire? Iv been searching for weeks. :search:

There's HSR but iv heard there mapping skills are not very good :(

I don't mind traveling to get a decent job as long as I can get/buy a base map before hand as its over fueling.

Many thanks

I tried Ian a few times, offered him more money but no reply :(

Is thor any good? thats 140mile away

Nope - I wouldn't use Thor for an eManage...seen no evidence to change my mind either.

And yeah Ian's not reading PM's atm as he's pulling back from the forum, nothing personal to you.

sorry Alex have to disagree with this, i have contacted Thor about mapping mine when the new engine goes in and they have done shed loads and did a first rate job with my SAFC that has been running 1.4 bar boost for the last 2 1/2 years, so i will be using them again, what are you basing this opinion on and believe me there is absolutely no one oop norf that i would trust to map my lawnmower never mind my car :(

I thought HSR (in Wigan) where Supra specialists who mainly mapped Emanage ECU's?

i have heard nothing but bad reports, and the fact you never hear of Hyper on the forum speaks volumes, if such a thing as a "supra specialist" exists i would say Thor could definately lay a claim to that and please people lets keep it on track and save their dyno claims for another thread :taped:

I based it on maps I've seen in the past and laughed at...from an e-Manage. When I see one of their e-manage maps that doesn't make me laugh/cry then I'll be happy to recommend them.

OK Alex, so Ian C is no longer in business so who now are the e-manage gurus, serious question

It's a serious problem, there aren't really any experts now that Ian C isn't doing them. Ryan is about the only person I'd trust to map one now.

sorry Homer and no offense intended to Ryan as he is a genuine good guy but how are Thor c**p at mapping the e-manage when Pete has been tuning Supras longer than probably anyone else on this board, Ryan on the other hand "Mr i'm to good to map piggybacks" decides he will have a "dabble" in the piggyback market and sudenly he is the expert, when someone like Alex pops up with a random statement that tuner X is c**p i want to see it backed up with facts and example cars not heresay, i.e well mapped cars from Ryan and c**p mapped cars by Thor, this is a genuine comment as i have an auto and do not want to use a stand alone to control the box therefore i want the BEST map possible on the e-manage ultimate so am willing to travel anywhere to achieve this whether it be Thor, Ryan or anyone else, but it has to be backed up with facts

With regard to the emanage, not many tuners want to work with piggybacks at all. I installed and mapped an MX5 turbo on one this week and have a Supra to do on an EMB in a few weeks, but it's really not something I want to do much of either and I'm still an unknown mapping noob ;)

No offence taken Paul (and I'm sure Ryan will feel the same) :) I was only stating that there are no experts on the EMU now, be it Thor, or any of the other tuning houses. Ian knows them inside out, as he isn't mapping them anymore I really don't know of anyone else that specialises in them. Ryan is no expert in the EMU and in no way was I suggesting that. I only stated that I would only trust him to map one now that Ian isn't on the scene.

Thor (and others) have been doing mapping for a long time, but the history is jaded to say the least when it comes to mapping some ECU's. Alex and others can back this up with hard evidence if they can be bothered.

The SAFC is a very simple piggyback so I would question whether your experience with them can be extrapolated to considerably more complex piggybacks.

Just my opinion on the matter, as was yours above :)

good feedback Homer, i dont want to come across as "dissing" anyone, just like SupraT61 i genuinly want to know who to throw my hard earned at to ensure i get the best map

True, All the money Iv spent on the project it would be a shame to use a mapper that's just going to do a crap job.

Iv heard mixed things about thor and HSR so i dont think I'll be using either just to be on the safe side.

There really doesn't seem to be anyone that's a genuine expert in mapping this EMU in the whole of UK at this moment in time :(

Well think I'm going to be giving Matt @ AFR tuning a chance at mapping mine, he is 250mile away but he's been really helpful and seems to know what he's talking about.

Cant remember the name but was there not an rx7 tuner that did a lot of emanage that got good reviews? also Paul Wiffin maps emanage.

When i spoke to Ryan a week or so ago he said to me he will only do piggy back ecu's for his own cars and very close friends.
