View Full Version : Ferrari California
Apparently opinion is split over the looks but I think it's a delight to behold... 4300cc V8, mid-front location, 460hp, 7 speed DCT, ceramic brakes as standard,

And even nicer when it's not red...

Nice. The rear seats look functional mind
the blue is the "proper" colour for this particular car. The original was blue.
I quite like it. It's got shades of the Alfa 8C in there and that's one of my favourite styled contemporary cars. In some ways it looks like the bast*rd child of the 599 and the 8C and that's no bad thing.
I like.

:D
Stunning in blue. Its amazing how much difference the colour makes to that car. I don't like it at all in red. Has an almost aston martin look to it.
It looks fat and bloated, somehow pig-like. Lines are all wrong too. No thanks..
I like it, especially in Red, just think the blue make's it look cheaper, plus red is faster ;)
Not keen on the grill but the rest looks well.

Looks much better with the roof up IMO.
I like that a lot! Looks far better in blue with the roof up though.
I Really Like that, one of Ferrari's better efforts of late I think. Stunning.
saw this in a magazine, looks gorgeous!

agreed. Not seen a decent looking supercar for years.
Only the r8 'just' about does it for me. I think Ferrari lost the plot after the 360.

How can you not like the 599?!

599 like the r35 is missing the wow factor. They are not ugly cars. If I was to spend as much as these cars command in price I'd expect a jaw dropping reaction the first time I see it.
When I first saw a diablo/testarossa/rx7/supra/xj220 all those cars made my jaw drop.
These dont.

Fair enough. First time I saw a 599 I couldn't pick my jaw up from the floor. Its sweeping lines, abrupt angles and pouncing stance just make me want to drive it until the end of time. It's subtle, but with all the bits in the right places; she's one sexy animal. The suspension, engine and gearbox are all impressive new-age race derived engineering. If I could open the garage and see that staring at me every day my life would be complete.
For me that's the best looking Ferrari I've seen in a while.

To be fair, I may have some sway against that 599 as there is a guy who owns one who drives through the city of london every friday about 5:30-5:45 sharp, which I see when I wait for my mate.
He smokes a big fat cigar in it with the windows shut. I dont know if its envy/or anger at him and the car because he is smoking a fat cigar in such an expensive car with a v.smug look on his face. lol
I really like it although my initial thoughts were 'hmmm a Ferrari Boxster'.
Not a fan of Ferrari's but i will say it looks better in Blue, i would like to see it in other hues.
Its just a wannabe corvette C6 :)

Nah, this one will handle. I think if you said that to an Italian you might cause world war 3 :D
Much better in blue and with the roof on :)

A dream car, I really like it, I have wanted to own a Ferrari for several years now, have test driven a 348 and 355 ( that was all my budget would allow) and was close to buying the 348, but changed my mind at the last minute, I have to say however after seeing them break down in a big way at a recent track day (360 and 430) I would be very worried on how fragile they seem to be, and they are not cheap to fix
Guess if you can afford a new Ferrari you dont worry so much about that

With them in reverse again:p Don't think its fair to compare it to a vette, the ferrari is a class above and some, better trim heritage, rarity, roomier etc etc etc & its a FERRARI although the vette is probably as quick, that said i'd prefer the vette.

It definetely better in blue. Its not the 'prettiest' Ferrari thery have ever made though...
I'm lovin' it. :)
Especially in blue with the roof up.
The trouble with red is that you have to keep it out of the sun or it goes pink. ;)

I swear everyone is here has a bias to this car simply because its a Ferrari. I bet if I took that badge off and said it was a Hyundai you guys would echo my comments. :p

to be honest, I don't see that car looking way off a hyundai to be honest. :D

lol - still don't think they look a world apart.:d
red, blue, roof up or roof down I think that's a stunning Ferrari
ugly,
why cant they make 700hp from a 4.3l
I think thats stunning in any colour love it:d
Nah, this one will handle. I think if you said that to an Italian you might cause world war 3 :D
and the new Corvettes cant? Go do some research :)
Love it personally, wanna see one in Grey or Black. The only thing wrong with it (besides me not affording it) is the name. Would still prefer the F430 if i had the money!
Love the side view but the grille and headlights make the front end look a bit cartoon-ish for me - reminds me a bit of the taxi from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Can't match the original, IMO

lol
Probably because Hyundai stylists like Ferrari.
