Hey guys

Was going to pick up my girlfriend a little prezzy to speed up her gaming PC. Now I dont know too much about mid range cards as I always tend to buy the top of the line stuff (cant quite afford that at the mo tho). Would 1x 8800GT card be better than say 2x 7800GT cards? She only uses DX9 aplications and dosnt run vista. Her PC spec is

Asus A8N SLI Motherboard
AMD 4800 Dual Core CPU
2Gb Geil DDR2
2x XFX 7800GT
600W PSU

Yes, by some margin. The 8800GT's are great little cards :)

I just got a 512MB 8800GT as an upgrade for my old Radeon 1900XT, it's made the world of difference :), picked one up for about £125 from overclockers, just had a quick look and this one seems pretty good value :

Gigabyte 8800GT Overclocked (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-035-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1008&name=Gigabyte%20GeForce%208800%20GT%20OC%20512MB%20GDDR3%20HDTV/Dual%20DVI%20(PCI-Express)%20-%20Retail%20(GV-NX88T512HP))

Cheers,
