Faded Celica Bumpers

I have a silver Celica GT 97 (silver), and the front and rear bumpers are faded, they haven't been replaced so I think its just that plastic fades quicker than metal?

Anyway, any way of fixing this without blow over / respray?

A polishing compound such as G3 may remove the oxidized layer and give you a fresh look without resorting to paint :)
