Headlight refurb in progress - Quick question

Probably best plan mate. Given how much any part on any car is subject to shock & vibration from normal driving, the primer will help with a better bond.

 

Just think how gutted you'd be if you had to take them apart in a few months or so to re-do them...

I've done my UK glass headlights recently - look fantastic on the car! I hope they don't leak though, but I did reseal them and then add some extra sealant as well.

 

I used the UHT spray paint from halfords - as others have also done - as the matt finish looks really quite nice, and it should be able to handle the heat from bulbs, engine etc.

I recently did mine too...

 

i used a plastic primer first, and then a high temp matt black paint.

 

i dont know if u need to use high temp paint, put after it took me ages to get the lights apart.. so i thought i might aswell do it right the first time...
