Dont know if anyone can help me here, i brought a supra wth a clifford alarm on it, but the previous owner has lost the docs for it.

All i know is its remote start, and chirps when anyone walks within half a mile of it :(

I need to know how to put it into valet mode, because everytime i wash it it bleeps then sets the alarm off.

I know its something to do with the buttons on the dash - put was wondering if they all have the same code (and what is the code) to lock it and not set the alarm, or just close the door without it self arming after 5 seconds

Any help would be fantastic

think valet mode is:

either the top too buttons, or the two left hand side buttons, or the bottom two buttons

not very useful, hold on i'll find out :run:

doesnt work mate. Just to clarify, * button on its own starts the car remotely and ** locks the car and arms it without the blip blip noise and the one that looks like a padlock locks and arms it with the blip blip noise

just realised mine is the old style fob, thats why i was giving you the instructions above. forgot they changed the fob layout lol.

the * and ** should have worked though as they use standard settings on all fobs iirc

Sounds like auto arm is turned on. I always found that a pain in the butt.

Instead of Disarming it may be better to turn the proximty sensor down so it bleeps only when few inches from vechile which is betetr , this can be turned down from the remote as far as I understand

Be warned that the remotes can be programmed to nearly anything - so if yours has changed from the std settings it could get confusing.

You'll also be pleased to know that the clifford keyfob button pictures differ from the replacements you get on ebay - so if the keyfob rubber has been replaced the logo's may well not match up to the manual or other users.

thaks pabs - i have been through the online manual now and its all working good and proper. Not sure why they didnt put the remote window closure on it though. Skinflints

Thanks again everyone - my neighbours no longer will be banging on the door moaning about the chirpin in the middle of the night :)

if its a clifford all you need to do is put the key in the ignition
turn it to on position then turn it to off position it will then beep
its now in valet mode.
