My pads occasionally clunk now and again. TBH I'm used to it and my last Supra done it also.

Just wondering why it happens and if there's a way to stop it?

Also are pads usually squeally on Supras? All pads are fine etc on the car but they squeal a bit. Again my last Supra done it.

I put fresh pads on my last car and they squealled like mad. Changed to a different brand and they were fine.

As you say i think it depends on the quality of pad - :)

get a shim kit fitted , it will stop the squeeling and the clunking

Shim kit.... where do I get this from? Should the car not have one already?

any info appreciated! It annoys me!

waits for the shock factor on the cost of a shim kit which is no more than a couple of metal plates lol XD

Not sure what you expect here mate, make sure you have the shims fitted and bronze greased and they shouldn't squeel - unless they are a poor quality pad, or are made for race use.

ok mate.

Shims are the metal parts that fit to the pads right?

I got mine apart and gave them all a good clean and lube in the right places and have been fine since.
