View Full Version : Guitar hero.
Anyone else got it? We've only had it for 4 days, we got GH3 with a guitar, got 2 coming as well, might get another guitar at some point.
So far I've completed easy and done a few medium songs. Haven't done all the songs on easy but I'm sure I'll do them at some point.
I can't seem to get 100% though, does it get easier? I can get through the songs just always miss some notes!!
And watching the fire and flames vids on youtube is scary!!!
Done all the easy songs, a couple 100% but mostly 98-99%... probably could get more at 100% but since I finished them all on easy I've not really played them on easy.
Finished all of them on medium too, again with a couple on 100% I think. On hard I've managed to complete 3 out of the first 4... and I think that's possibly as far as I'm likely to get!
Good fun, just a shame I got it for the Wii before I got the PS3, there's tons of extra songs to download for the PS3 version. There is another one coming out soon though, Guitar hero Aerosmith.
you gotta get 2 guitars its much more fun. have completed easy and medium now. and most the songs on hard. have a few 100% songs :)
I thought I wouldn't like this game as I play guitar for real.... but it's actually grown on me as a little bit of fun.
The songs on hard are a good challenge - without doing the tutorials I didn't even use pick-on/off, which made my life a heck of a lot harder for a while.
4th difficulty level is a bit irritating, the battles anyway. And the songs you just dont' like to play :(
Why are you messing around with GH - get Rock Band, tis much, much better!
rockband costs way too much at the moment

I've been playing it on the xbox 360 at work. Ive completed medium on GH3 with all songs 5 stars and around 97% - 99%, not one 100%... :(

Dont bother with Rock Band its a pile of poo. Wait for GH4 to come out. Same idea as rock band with all the different instruments but will be much better done and rumour has it you will be able to write your own stuff on the game :)

Slayer is tricky, harder than fire and flames IMO - I can never get the timing right even on easy. When there's loads of strums all together I can't do it at the right speed and always miss a few in a string!

This man speaks untruths. Rock Band is obscene amounts of fun with a few mates. Been playing it for a few weeks now, and had some mates round on Fri night for a session - excessive amounts of entertainment was had all round.
Do you still feel like everything is rising into the air when you look away from the screen after playing for a few hours?

Yeah it looked a laugh on the Gadget Show last night.
I love this game...so addictive...completed all the songs on medium and now stuck on hard...gotta get rock band!

They were talking about this on Radio 1 today and yes you can make you own songs in a recording studio section so that you can play them in the game. If people find it a bit hard to create their own songs, other people no doubt will do it, these can then be downloaded and played. Aparantly the technology is better as well as the drums for example are touch sensitive so it knows how hard you hit them. They said it will be out in the Autumn however the Wii version probably won't have download capability.

lol me and a mate at work had a big talk on how it's like being pissed when you look away after a while of play. it such a weird feeling but i like it ;) right fire and the flames here i come had few beers so gona rock out now lol

Not had that problem myself on RB. Having said that I'm usually drinking when I play so I put any wobblyness down to that!
Anyone know if Guitar Hero II has the duelling banjos on it? I heard it was a hack on Xbox and/or PS3 and isn't on the game (for PS2).

You can only get it as a hack as far as I'm aware.
