Which bulbs to paint?

explain more mate... the dash bulbs that are green simply have a rubber cap over the top which can be removed to then make the bulbs the normal "yellowy" type colour you'd expect.

Speedo etc has 4 bulbs in - 3 large and 1 small. See hecklers website for blue LED bulb dash conversion for locations behind the dials.

The heater control unit will be a pain to paint I'd imagine - I'd just swap them all for LED's instead :)

i know what you mean!! the paint dsnt work!! sorry!!

you will paint it and when fitted back after they dry you will still have yellow light showing with a small amount of blue!! best way is to do a led convertion!! or buy proper blue bolbs!!

and the blue paint you have will flak out after it gets hot...

Speak to Heckler for the dash conversion - very knowledgeable, VERY helpful (Thanks Si!!!) and also sells the bits pre-modded for you, if you're not comfortable doing the work yourself.

Here is hecklers site: http://www.internetwork.org.uk/

A rough idea of stuff you'll need:

Cluster:

3 x 194 refractor LEDs

1 x 37 invert LED

AC Unit:

Soldering iron

3mm LEDs (usually come in packs of 100 on eBay: 3-5000 ohms)

resistors (they will most likely come with the 3mm LEDs to work for 12v)

Odometer:

"gel film"

clear plastic

glue gun

Indicator lights on dash:

2 x 37 invert LEDs

plastic that matches color of your LEDs

Ignition barrel

1 x 37 invert LED

Cigarette lighter

1 x 37 invert LED

Depends how far you want to go with the conversion really. Most of the above is taken from supraforums.com found here:

Lots of pics for you - you can get the LEDs from ebay(usually hong kong)

The heater unit though is tricky. Heckler is doing mine for me :)
