Too orangey or really cool?

I have some plasti-kote non-metallic more reddy red stuff I could use instead.

What do you guys think?

I know now why people don't use spray paint for in-situ caliper painting anyway. What a PITA to mask..

It's got a nice finish. I've spent hours with a wire brush, and then the last hour with a wire brush on a drill (should've got one of those to begin with).

Miles better. Much more sporty looking

Yeah me and the missus decided it was too peachy.

The rear calipers are in really good condition. Do you think I should just clean them and paint over the existing paint, or go back to metal like I did with the fronts?

It's a Machine Mart (Clarke) one, which I believe is the same as Costco/Adsa/Everywhere else

It's not as low as it could be but weight is OK.

i stripped my front ones to bare metal, but like yours my rears were in good condition so ive just painted over them, the effect is just as good

Hey Carlos, I used the Halfords RED HTP but found it looked salmon pink, so I went over it with Jap Lac signal box red.

All of halfords UHT paint is a matt-type finish, and not as dark as you'd expect.

I used some black UHT recently and it's very matt, and more of a grey than black.

Looks good but what about a pic without the masking tape.

I f**ked up big time

I was too eager with the decals on the nearside caliper, and peeled off all the paint with the transfer tape doh!

I've redone it now though. I'm pretty good with that wire-brush drill bit now

I'm not sure if the problem was that I simply didn't leave the paint long enough to cure, or if it's because I had the Halfords high-temp stuff underneath, which says on its can: "At the very high temperatures of engine manifolds, the paint will cure in about an hour".

Anyway I've redone it now, and will be applying the decals tomorrow. Thank god Uber Nine supply a spare decal in each set!
