Quick traction control Question

Since buying my new Supe about 6 weeks ago there have been a couple of instances where I have span the wheels pulling out of junctions. Nothing crazy, just a second or two of spin, and the green slip light has come on on the dash. I have never experienced any engine cut or similar to indicate that the traction control is actually working. Having never experienced a TT traction control before im not sure if I just haven't span the wheels enough or its been disabled in some way.

How sensitive is the traction control if its enabled? and what does it feel like when it does kick in?

If it is disabled i'll just remove the bulbs from the dash and forget about it...

I think that if the green slip light is just flashing it's only warning you that the wheels are rotating at different speeds (i.e. it's not cutting power in any way). If the light comes on completely and doesn't go off without you resetting with the button then it is "working" - this results in a big drop in power. It reminds me of driving an old fashioned diesel with a small engine.

Many people of regard the stock traction control as rubbish, and compared to modern standards it's not great. If you drive sympathetically and understand its limits then I think it is still a valuable tool - if only for the early warning.
