As title, im looking at the HKS Hi power 409 and the Silent Hi power (both na version). I don't want it silly loud like my old Nur Spec R, just want it a bit more beefy that my Kakimoto R :)

Im thinking the Silent Hi power is quieter but need confirmation from the na boys :D

Cheers

The Hi-Power and Silent Hi-Power are essentially the same exhaust, except the Hi-Power uses mild steel mid pipe and stainless steel rear, where as the Silent Hi-Power is 100% stainless steel. Both are rated at 99Db on an NA.

Here is a list of available exhausts for the 2JZGE, give me a shout if you'd like any prices.

Cheers Nic,

Do you know if the 409 has a silencer on the mid pipe like the silent hi power? When I search for the 409 its always pictured without one - obviously I would want the exhaust with this on to tone things down a tad.

I have the silent hi-power and yes its pretty loud, no where near as loud as the nurspec on my mk3 though :)

Sound clip :D

The photos used on websites are usually not of the exact car model, but just a representation.

Both have a central silencer, the only major difference between the Hi-Power and Silent Hi-Power is the material they are made from. Here are illustrations of each.

Cheers Nic,

The HKS 409 rated at 99db, is that a 2JZGE version? Also do you know the db for a Nur Spec RX?

Hi Dazzi

HKS quote 99Db for the HKS 409 on a 2JZGE, but this will probably be with both cats still fitted.

Blitz list the RX at 91Db on a TT, they don't list the figure on an NA, but it would be a bit louder.

cheers
