ellis Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Bought a lovely set of Volks Challenge wheels from Gav at Envy. The polished rims got quite caked in brake dust and road shit and were proving difficult to clean. Missus suggested some fluid she'd got from the States which I duly applied. Oops. . . . . Polished rims are tarnished to buggery and it will not, will not budge. Metal polish, Meguiars, nothing will shift it. So - need to refurb the rims (inners OK and they are 2 piece wheels) and have them finished in the same finish as the centres so effectively powder coating them and getting rid of the polished look.
