JustGav Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) There is a slight change in the delivery of power in NA, the manifold that runs over the top of the engine has a valve in it, that alters the overall length of the manifold when it you give it beans. That is what the little actuator is on it. Admittedly the dyno graph looks very dramatic though. Is yours a manual or auto, because the torque curve on my manual NA was rather level in comparison, however auto's are a lot more interesting to dyno... JustGav Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 NA's normally have a fairly level tabletop style torque curve whereas yours is all over the place, makes me thing it was measurement error. The reason for it being done in 4th or 5th (depending on your gearbox) is that is the 1:1 ratio, the top gear on a Supra is an overdrive.
