I'm off to Edinburgh this weekend with some mates for a stag weekend, any good tips on good places to go, I've never been before.
What are your mates like? are the posh buggers or are the pub ruffians.
George Street has nice bars and clubs - expensive and posh
Rose Street and the Grass Market have Pubs... well they are pubs cant say much more.
THe best Strip club in town is at the west end and it's called Fantasy Palace.
The nastiest club in town is Subway..

Yes, stay away from CC Blooms and Café Habana or you will be waking up with more than a sore head. ;)
Also stay away from any pub/club in Lothian Road as it is very rough, avoid the Subways.
Grassmarket is good.
Just head for Princess Street :D

This has died down a lot and not been much trouble in years - was a doorman on Lothian road for about 3 years. East end of princess street is the ruffer part of town now.

I used to go to Eros but its a trance club :p
Went there about 7 months ago or so cant remember where i went to or how i got back to the hostel but it was a good night:d

These lads are quite sensible TBH thank God :) (could have been a lot worse with some of my other acquaintces :D)

Dunno what's happening on Sunday mate, none of these lads are "car" people so I doubt I'll be there :(

Agreed, if Bar 38 (east end of George St) is still open that is a nice upmarket venue.

Is that still there? I was told Eros & Elite got closed down years ago. used to go to Edin every other weekend, usually titty bar then... revolution i think it was called?
Dont know mate not been for years, dont venture out that way a lot anymore.

Yeah the arches is great, has some good nights. I find myself more drawn to the oldschool stuff though. The new stuff does nothing for me.
Eros & Elite a club within a club, haven for all the chavs. Yeah it got closed down at least about 6 years ago iirc. Revolution I think is still there I knew it as Centuary 2000.
Strip bar for me when out on a stag do or similar was the Fantasy Bar top of Lothian road.

3 of us went up Friday & met another 3 mates up there, had a mint Friday night round the Grassmarket, went in a couple of titty bars, ended up a nightclub (can't remember it's name), got kicked out around 3 for being too drunk.
Saturday we were joined by another 5 of our mates, 2 of them were steaming by 11 and got us barred out of every pub. In the end I just called it a night & went back to the hotel, we spent about an hour walking round trying to get into different pubs with no luck.
Then spent all day yesterday in the club, I need a week off work to recover.
All in all, Friday was the best night even though there were only a few of us.
