Anyway once sold I am hopefully going to look at replacing it with something a bit different. Right basically I am looking for a car that will be driven primarily at weekends as I am a train commuter during the week so when I do drive it I want it to be something very special. However I would like something that will have some level of reliability and that won't spend the entire winter in the garage or be off the road half the year in a workshop (so maybe not a TVR then). TrevS Posted May 15, 2008 Author Share Posted May 15, 2008 At the moment a Porsche is at the top of the list as it ticks most of the boxes that I am looking for and is probably the most practical of the bunch. However and this is maybe the one thing that might swing my dicision, does it has soul & character and do they lack that rareity & specialness of older porsches like the 993? I know it will be brilliant to drive and the 911 has a lot of history etc but everytime I see cars like the Esprit I am just blown away. Yes they have horrible interiors and no back seats but they have a presence and character that the Jag and Porsche can't match. If you see a porsche or Jag you think 'nice car' but if you see an Esprit, exige and the TVR you think 'wow'. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
